BEHIND THE BRAND

As a child from a lower-income family, we would frequent the Ladson flea market, local Goodwill stores and other secondhand shops out of necessity. Although I did not appreciate it as much as a child, the foundation I was raised upon only strengthened as I grew older, and what started from shopping out of necessity transformed into my own kind of treasure hunting. As I grew older and began to appreciate the unique finds of thrifting, I began to understand the dangers of fast fashion and the importance of shopping sustainably. Having this upbringing allowed me to form a sort of loving little bond with the world of secondhand and slow fashion, and out of that love came Little Sunshine Thrifts. My goal with this brand is to combine my one-of-a-kind thrifted finds and mix them with my own style of fashion (think Dead Poets Society meets Tuck Everlasting). I may occasionally coming my own art styles with the intention of upcycling certain pieces, or bring in some incredible vintage to the mix.
